Rhonda Pouliot

Our choir director is a familiar face at Perdido Bay, having previously served as our interim music minister. She spent the last 16 years at our mother church, Myrtle Grove Baptist, where she was involved in the choir ministry, served on the praise team, and directed the ladies ensemble and the hand bell choir. Following the Lord’s leadership, she became a permanent part of our Perdido Bay staff in January 2014.

Rhonda was raised in a Christian home, and accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child. She met her soul mate, Ron Pouliot, her senior year in high school, and they were married in 1971. A few years later she felt a very definite call from God to the music ministry. She majored in vocal performance at Pensacola Junior College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in music. As a Navy wife, Rhonda had the unique opportunity to serve the Lord through music leadership in churches around the world. She is a Pensacola native, and she and Ron settled here when he retired from his career in the Navy. Since his retirement, Ron has served as a full-time minister. They were blessed to serve on staff together at a church in Alabama for 5 years.

Ron and Rhonda have 2 grown sons, a wonderful “daughter-in-love”, and 2 beautiful grandchildren.

“I have experienced God’s hand of provision, protection, correction and blessing throughout my life, in the good times and especially in the tough times. He is always faithful. Christ has given me a deep desire to share His story with others through those life-lessons, and He has called me to do that through music. Loving and serving my God by loving and serving His people is my greatest privilege.”
